I recently got a sears C130 S8 camera from Ebay and the auto exposure uses a 2.7 volt mercury battery. The modern equivalent of the battery is a 3 volt. I was wondering if the .3 volts would make much of a difference? Would it hurt anything, cause the sensor to read the light differently, or nothing?
    Thanks

Probably wouldn't hurt anything, but it may cause your internal meter to think that the camera is getting more light than it really is, and close down the exposure slightly.

If your camera has an automatic exposure adjustment you can correct for this.

You may be able to find a battery adapter for your camera.
